Saturday, April 18th at 11 AM: 18th Century Clockmaking in East Windsor” with Tom Vaughn

Join us at the East Windsor Historical Society 113-115 Scantic Rd. East Windsor, for this FREE event. Clockmaker and historian Tom Vaughn will offer a demonstration on 18th century clockmaking. With a focus on East Windsor clockmaker Daniel Burnap, Tom will bring a variety of original and reproduction tools identical to those used in Burnap’s shop. See a working treadle lathe, and watch how Burnap would have cut perfect gears on a wheel cutting engine. Learn about some of the other things clockmakers would be doing, like casting and silver plating metal.” TomVaughnclocks.com
