Come out and join the East Windsor Historical Society in celebrating the bicentennial of the East Windsor Academy and the opening of the newly restored Osborn House! Treat the kids, (and yourself) to some delicious free ice cream provided by Tulmeadow Farm while strolling the grounds and exploring the 5 unique, local museum buildings. Enjoy the sounds of the North Street Barbershop Quartet while getting a free hair cut the Broad Brook Barber Shop Museum or while getting married for free at the neighboring East Windsor Probate Court Museum. Pause in the 200 year old East Windsor Academy Museum and gaze upon the many “Five Villages” artifacts on display. Don’t miss the historic post road marker near the rear entrance. Play the colonial “Game of Graces” or go on a horse drawn hayride before taking a peek in the Tobacco Barn which showcases farming equipment and is guaranteed to spark the interest of visitors of all ages. Finally, finish up in the newest museum addition, the showcase of the event, the newly restored Osborn House, where there will be special exhibits and demonstrations, such as the Hooks, Books, and Needles spinners & knitters and even a “photo-op” area to capture the memories.
This event is free and open to all.
We hope to see you!
